The iGaming industry is currently undergoing a strong growth wave, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and a shift in government legislation worldwide. As a result, companies are jostling for position to claim a slice of the ever-growing pie. One of these is Authentic Gaming, which has recently shared its plans for growth in the iGaming industry in 2023. We look at some of these plans, and their relevance to the industry as a whole over the coming year.

Authentic Gaming Looks to Make Big Moves in the iGaming Industry in 2023

The Year of Experimentation in 2022

In 2021, iGaming company Authentic Gaming was acquired by Light and Wonder, formerly known as Scientific Games, a $2.2 billion iGaming development firm.

This acquisition kicked off a strong season of experimentation for Authentic Gaming, where they tested out various aspects of the market as part of a large organization. Part of this has looked like trialing integration with other products and offerings from Light and Wonder’s business. The Head of Marketing and Strategy Execution at Authentic Gaming, Dagmara Bator, had this to say,

“We are incorporating Light & Wonder’s IP into our casino offering. For example, Authentic Gaming now has the largest side-bet library of blackjack and baccarat in the live casino sector, including the most popular ShuffleMaster side bets, which are very recognizable to players.”

The result of this
testing across 2022 has left Authentic Gaming in a strong position now to launch in 2023 and take control of some markets in the new year.

North America in Authentic Gaming’s Sights for 2023

There’s no denying that North America is one of the most exciting markets in the iGaming space right now.

While only six states in the United States have currently legalized online casinos, already revenue is surging. In the third quarter of 2022, the revenue generated from online casinos in just these six states was equivalent to 72% of the revenue generated by sports betting across the 31 US
states that have legalized it. As a result, Authentic Gaming are intending to move into the US online casino space in 2023 to capture some of the growing market.More and more operators are now present in the country and new ones appear regularly. They offer the players all of their favorite games and often also come with sign-up bonuses that players can take full
advantage of. You can find out what the casinos have to offer by looking at the best online casinos by checking the reviews made available by experts and real players. These players help the industry in producing strong revenue numbers, but according to Bator, these could be even more lucrative with the right products, stating,

“We’ve created games from the ground up, tailor-made for American players, especially now that there is more and more interest in online live casino entertainment.”

Authentic Gaming After Something Special in European Market

While the gaming market has plenty to offer right now, Authentic Gaming is also looking to bring something different to increase their market share.

With the live casino market making up about 30% of the European iGaming industry, Authentic Gaming will look to continue developing x-factor products in this space. They’ve found great success recently through their roulette products in Spain and Italy, and will likely look to innovate down a similar line in 2023 as well.

Speaking on future European innovation, Bator has emphasized that, “All these games will be customized, with a unique proposition leveraging Light & Wonder IP that sets us aside from other suppliers.”
