Tamarak Trail is a turn-based deck-building roguelike that uses customizable dice instead of cards. As a member of a secret society named the Sturgeon Lodge it’s up to you to piece together the mystery of a decaying earth, hunt down the source of this corruption and put a stop to it at all costs. The dev team at Yarrow Games sought to capture the look and feel of Northeastern Ontario, so they visited multiple provincial parks to scout locations. This video showcases such parks as Kap-Kig-Iwan, Killarney, and Lake Laurentian, where Jack pine, birch, and tamarack trees were common, and the devs aimed to capture their lichen, moss, and the exposed bedrock frequently seen around those parts. Most parks were visited during the autumn to catch the foliage at its most colorful and rustic.Tamarak Trail will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
