DICE and Electronic Arts today announced that Battlefield 3: Aftermath, the fourth digital expansion pack for Battlefield 3, is now available for all Battlefield 3 Premium members on the PlayStation 3. Battlefield 3: Aftermath provides a new brand of carnage to urban combat delivering four new maps in a vertical and horizontal setting, depicting a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst Iran’s post-earthquake devastation. G4TV even said “DICE continues to play with Battlefield 3's multiplayer action in creative ways with its downloadable content releases. Aftermath is shaping up to be the most unique of the bunch by far.”
EA and DICE have announced that Battlefield 3: Aftermath, the fourth downloadable expansion pack for Battlefield 3, will be available for premium members to download on December 4th on both the Xbox 360 and PC. PS3 premium players gain access November 27th.
Set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran, Battlefield 3: Aftermath depicts a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation.
With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives. Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy.
Electronic Arts and DICE announced today that Battlefield 3 premium members are invited to be involved in an exclusive in-game competition where players must perform the most kills in Tank Superiority mode in Armored Kill, the third digital expansion pack for the explosive first person shooter.
The Battlefield 3 Premium Armored Kill Tank Superiority competition is only open to Premium members only and will run for 72 hours, starting Friday September 28th at 9AM UTC. Now that premium members have had their turn, regular Xbox 360 players can now download the newest expansion pack "Battlefield 3: Armored Kill" via the in-game store. Featuring new drivable tanks, ATV’s, mobile artillery and more, this expansion pack also delivers huge battlefields for an all-out vehicle assault. Armored Kill features new drivable tanks, ATV's, mobile artillery and more. It also delivers huge battlefields for an all-out vehicle assault, including the biggest map in Battlefield history.
Battlefield 3: Armored Kill features an all new game mode where tanks reign supreme. Tank Superiority is a highly tailored game mode for Armored Kill where platoons featuring Main Battle Tanks and Tank Destroyers fight for control over a single flag – often placed in extremely open and hard-defended terrain. The new game mode resembles a "King of the Hill" struggle and is available on all four maps in Armored Kill, each map featuring a mix of up to 16 tanks.
Battlefield 3 Premium members get 2 weeks early access to Armored Kill as well as Battlefield 3: Aftermath coming this December and Battlefield 3: End Game coming in March of 2013.
