Indie publisher Firenut Games announced Chrysolite, a narrative-driven, pixel-art 2D Metroidvania-inspired platformer, coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.
Developed by solo developer José Manuel Conesa Hernández, Chrysolite is a lovingly crafted platformer that engages players with its intriguing narrative and simple, yet challenging gameplay and uses hand-drawn illustrations to advance the narrative.
A brooding knight sits in front of a fire, the darkness surrounding him. His sword plunged into the ground, covered in the dried blood of his enemies. He warns you against going any further, but the intrigue of what lies beyond far surpasses your instinct of self-preservation.
Play as a young thief and explore the dangerous remains of a once-prosperous kingdom. Fight against hordes of terrifying monsters and make your way through challenging platforming sections to uncover the clues to unlock the dark story of the last days of the kingdom.
Chrysolite is participating in the Metroidvania Fusion Steam Event running from 4 -11 March, where fans can download the very first demo for the game for free as well as try out other exciting indie Metroidvana inspired indie games.
Chrysolite will launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) later in 2024.

Game development studio OtherSide Entertainment (@OtherSide_Games) announced a new strategic partnership with the Aonic video gaming group to continue to grow the studio and deliver original titles that take games to new levels of the studio’s signature “player agency” focus.
The co-founders of OtherSide, Paul Neurath and Warren Spector, are best known for their work pioneering the “Immersive Simulation” genre. Ultimate Fishing Simulator is a best-selling fishing game developed by the Polish studio Bit Golem. It has been converted to Xbox One by Console Labs S.A. This version is being published by Ultimate Games S.A. and PlayWay S.A. The basic edition available on Microsoft’s console will offer three DLCs upon launch, with subsequent ones being scheduled for later. In the following months, Ultimate Fishing Simulator will also hit PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
The fishing simulator debuted on the PC in August 2018 and is currently the highest rated game in its category. Currently, the percentage of positive reviews on Steam is as high as 86% and the game holds a Metascore of 70/100.The publisher reports that so far, the game has been bought by over 130 thousand people, and the number of sold add-ons has exceeded 100 thousand. The VR edition is also very popular.
