FOR PC...
First you will need to download the EA ORIGIN client. To do so just click HERE. DL and Install it.
Next, log into the Origin client with your EA account ID and PASS or click on the option to register a new account.
this will take you to the ORIGIN site, You will want to click on the FREE GAMES tab at the top. Then download the BF3 beta when they put it up today sometime. I just came from there and it is not up just yet. But you might as well get your Client download and setup out of the way.
For PS3 and 360 you will find it in your marketplace.
See you on the battlefield.
P.S.....PS. The site says about the BETA.... THERE WILL BE NO CAP ON HOW FAR YOU CAN RANK UP OR WHAT YOU CAN UNLOCK!

So you are getting the PC beta or both?
I will be grabbing the 360 beta so i don't need to worry about updating drivers and all that. I hear NVIDIA and all the major chip providers will be bringing special drivers for the BF3 BETA for PC gamers. Should prove interesting. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

Just on PC, I do not have a current working 360 at the moment, I just downloaded the beta but have not been able to get on yet, I get an error message stating a ping problem and firewall issue possibly. Someone mentioned that they had same problem but were able to get in a game after they updated their GPU drivers with the BF3 updates. I am going to give that a go. Will post a news when I actually get in a game and know I have done everything correctly.
UPDATE... when I try to join a quick match i get the message
"Failed to ping closest servers, please try again. If this happens frequently, check your firewall settings."
I checked my router and disabled my software firewalls and upgraded the GPU drivers and still get same error. I went to the EA message boards and Many people are getting the same issue, Even a few stating that they had early access and the game worked fine until the BETA went global and now they get same message. So I feel it is safe to assume that this is an issue with the servers being over loaded for the time being, I would suggest just keep trying every now and then, You will get in eventually.
Ill go ahead and work on a news article now.....
