Hey just wondering if anyone came across this error and has fixed it the problem i hear it is, is this below.
E73: General Hardware Error: Ethernet port... this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet port.
Any suggestions let me know thanks the seal is still intact on my 360 but ms wants $90 to fix it and if it is something minor and easy to fix i am not going to give them my money lmao. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!
Would sound as though you'd have to get another ethernet port off of a working xbox and replace the one on yours (the whole fun soldering part of it lol). _________________________________________________________

Well if it really is an ethernet port problem it should fix it. Id image the ethernet port would be a lead style of mount, so it wouldn't be too hard to get off. Getting a new one in might be a bit tricky but its most likely not too hard.
Also, use a hair dryer and heat the warrenty sticker up. Then use tweasers to slowly peel the sticker off. Store it somewhere safe, sticky side up, and when you put it back on later it will look like it never came off (which is good for returns or RROD warrenty repair). _________________________________________________________

Ive never come accross this error.
If the nic on the mainboard is gone you should be able to swap it out with another one.. Check out the soldier points.. It doesnt look too bad but would be a bit of mucking around.. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

I'm looking at my broken mobo right now and the port looks pretty simple to get off. All of the solder points are leads like i thought, which makes it much easier to get off.
There are 4 large leads that are super easy to desolder. The other 8 are smaller leads that will be a bit tougher to get off, but if you take your time it shouldn't be a problem.
As for remounting the new one into your xbox, just push the leads through the holes then solder then down. Think of it as soldering the lpc pinheader on the old xbox. _________________________________________________________
